Rustic looking place. Clean with friendly staff. Omg the dry stir fried wide noodles (aka char kway teow to Singaporeans) is amazing. The noodles were beautifully charred and tasty. Excellent wok hei stacked with simple but nice ingredients. Must try!
Came here because it tries to resemble the famous Sarawak Kolo Mee, or Hakka Mee for some. As an authentic Sarawakian Chinese, I’d say this will disappoint many. The taste was ok, not bad, but a far cry from its true potential. Unfortunately, the owner didn’t handle their noodle properly, you can taste the heavy alkaline taste, in Chinese we call this 碱水味.. if they learnt how to remove that, I guarantee the taste will be 2x better. The char siew is not bad. But then again, taste is brought down by the alkaline flavor. Please remove that, I’m sure will blow up your shop
A local dish that’s been around for half a century! Recommended by my lovely senior clients. Homemade noodles and fresh ingredients make the dish really satisfying.
I tried the stir fried version The sauce is smoky and salty but lacks proper umami. There is also a strong alkaline taste from the noodles. A few small bits of char siew were given.
Legend Phuket signature dish. ONE and ONLY. Homemade yellow noodle good both stir fried or with clear soup. Place may hot in the boiling sunny day but good with fullfill meal.
