Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the StreetBitesAsia website (streetbitesasia.com) and the StreetBitesAsia Android app ("the Service") use, and why. The Service is operated by Retro Klocki sp. z o.o., Pomigacze 91, 18-106, Turośń Kościelna, Polska ("we", "us"). Contact: kangurrr@gmail.com.

1. No account required

You can use the map, browse places and use the offline features without creating an account.

2. Data we process

• Location. If you allow it, your device location is used on your device to show where you are on the map, sort places by distance and show distance and walking directions. We do not store your location on our servers and do not build a location history.
• Messages and place suggestions. When you use the Contact form, "Add Place" or "Report closed", we receive what you type (for example your name, e-mail address and message) and use it only to reply to you and to improve the map.
• Technical data. Our server and hosting provider process standard technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, pages requested and time of the request, for security, abuse prevention and keeping the Service running.
• Data stored on your device. The app and website store files on your device (cache and downloaded offline maps, place data, fonts and icons) so that the Service works without internet. You can remove them by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

3. Third-party services

• Google Maps Platform / Places. While you are online, some place photos, ratings and reviews are provided by Google. Google processes requests according to its own Privacy Policy.
• Map tiles. Online map data is loaded from our own and third-party map providers, which may receive your IP address with each request.
• E-mail delivery. Messages sent through our forms are delivered using the e-mail service Resend.

4. Why we process data (legal basis)

To provide the Service you requested, to answer your messages (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)), for our legitimate interest in security and improving the Service (Art. 6(1)(f)), and based on your consent for location access (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings.

5. Retention

Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.

6. We do not sell your data

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising profiling.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, to object to processing and to data portability. To use these rights, write to kangurrr@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
