⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Note Coffee is such a lovely café and definitely worth visiting in Hanoi! ☕️✨ We tried their coconut coffee, and it was absolutely delicious — creamy, refreshing, and full of flavor. The café also has a beautiful view and a really charming atmosphere, making it the perfect place to sit back, enjoy your coffee, and take in the surroundings. The combination of great coffee and the lovely view made our visit really enjoyable. Definitely a great spot to experience the famous Vietnamese coffee culture. Would happily visit again! 🇻🇳🤎
We tried the egg coffee, and for me, it was just average. If you're not a fan of the flavor or aroma of eggs, this might not be the drink for you. However, the café itself has a wonderful ambience. The creative wall art and unique décor make the place feel charming and artistic, creating a great atmosphere to relax, take photos, and enjoy the overall experience.
While exploring the streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter, I randomly came across The Note Coffee, which is just a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. I had actually seen this café in a few travel reels before my trip but had completely forgotten about it until I saw the colorful notes covering the building from outside. That's when I realized, this is the café everyone talks about. The café itself is quite small, but that's what makes it feel so unique. Every wall, window and corner is covered with handwritten notes from visitors across the world. Before even entering, you'll probably spend a few minutes just reading them. It was quite busy when we visited, and we waited around 5–10 minutes before ordering. One helpful thing to know is that if you order two or more items, you can usually get a seat upstairs. If you're ordering just one drink, you may have to stand or wait, depending on how crowded it is. I tried their famous coconut coffee, and after walking for hours in the Hanoi heat, it was honestly one of the most refreshing drinks I had during the trip. Before leaving, I asked for a sticky note and added my own message to the wall. It may seem like a small thing, but it makes you feel like you've left a tiny memory of yourself in a place visited by people from all over the world. If you're already exploring Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter, this café is worth stopping by not just for the coffee, but for the experience.
I actually discovered this cafe through an AI recommendation while looking for the best egg coffee in the Old Quarter. It was ranked in the top five, though funnily enough, once I arrived, the house specialties were actually salted coffee and coconut coffee, not egg coffee. I decided to go with the recommendation and ordered the salted coffee. The most unique thing about this place was the notes. There were handwritten messages covering every available surface—tables, walls, stairs, ceilings, and corridors. They provide stickers and pens so guests can write their own messages and stick them wherever they like. I arrived around 8 PM and headed to the second floor, which I had all to myself. It felt a bit underwhelming at first, mostly because the lighting was quite dim. I’d read reviews mentioning multiple levels, but the stairs leading up looked a bit neglected, so I doubted there was a third floor. However, a waiter eventually came by and told us there were more floors upstairs, so we moved up. The third and fourth floors were much nicer with better lighting. The coffee was great, but I think it’s best to visit during the day to get the full effect (and better photos)!
This spot is note-worthy! 📝 I loved jotting down a memory and sticking it on the wall for posterity. It was quite a heatwave in Hanoi, but thankfully, their big electric fans kept things cool. The service was good. The food and drink is fine thou nothing special. Definitely a sweet memory-maker! 💖✨
