Tried over 10 banh mi places in Hanoi, including the famous ones with long lines and this place is my favorite. I always order #1. Been here 3 times so far and my photos are from all three times. The egg is freshly cooked and the beef is hot and juicy. Many other places the eggs are also fresh cooked, but the meats are usually precooked and cold sitting around. Haven’t tried the other dishes, but saw others ordered them and it looked pretty good also. If this place has some super spicy chili sauce, it would be perfect for me! Definitely give this hidden gem a try. Usually no lines.
They have english menu. I tried egg with lap xiong and it's quite good. A bit big, can eat later if you're full. They warmed it a bit so it's quite crispy when you eat it right away.
The banh mi tasted alright, but could do better. I ordered the beef option and there were only tiny pieces of beef. The lady making the banh mi also charged me an extra amount for an add-on that she didn’t even use. I tried to explain but she insisted that she added the add on, but I was watching her make it the whole time. She did not. 😆 I have tried better banh mi places. This was just conveniently near to our hotel.
No complaints at all. I ordered the banh mi chao which was the nicest breakfast pan I've had in Hanoi. Nicely cooked sausage and pork with a lovely runny egg and tasty pate. The house chilli sauce was nicely tangy. For 45k, excellent value.
This place offers great banh mi, steak and eggs on cast iron pans. Service is quick, portion is good and price is reasonable. Highly recommend!
