Got refused to eat there because I'm "foreigner" even though I ate there many times. Was with local friend by the way... Go to the next shop 50m down, more nice and welcoming people ^^
Pros: - Prompt service - Food is visually appealing and attractive. The chopstick and condiment racks look clean. Cons: - As it's a street food stall, hygiene isn't a priority. - At 40k/serving, I find it a bit expensive. - To get a seat, you have to go to a nearby drinks stall and order your drink there, costing an extra 30k. Plus 10k for parking. It's inconvenient. - The taste isn't anything special. The shrimp paste is too salty. It's worth trying once, but I wouldn't consider returning.
The red jellyfish season has arrived! After many stressful days, I took my staff on a food tour of Thanh Ha Street. We wandered through Hanoi's streets, enjoying the bustling atmosphere of the Old Quarter. A 40k VND portion like in the picture is 80k VND for two portions. Each portion includes a plate of vegetables, a plate of grilled beans, and coconut. I introduced it to two of my younger colleagues, one from Lang Son and one from Saigon, and luckily, neither of them had any allergic reactions. The prices seem to have gone up a bit, but we were still happy to eat and spend 170k VND for four people. Plus 10k VND for parking at the neighboring restaurant.
It's still a place that's been around for three generations, a refreshing and cooling dish perfect for summer. Because the shop is small, we usually buy takeout, but I still really like the way the owner and her sister run the business.
