This place was amazing. Best Bahn Mi I’ve ever had and the owner was so lovely explaining the food to us. I even got the bang xeo on top after my bahn mi. Only thing is it’s hard to find. The location on Google Maps is not accurate. We had to go down onto the Main street where the Clubs are, walk down it and then went up a side street and found her at the top of it. So worth it. Definitely come here.
Found her on the Main Street and reviews were true, banh mi was very delicious!! Weekday midday she was out of Banh xeo. Owner very friendly and spoke basic English to help modify our orders. Will be back again.
What a gem of a place!! Two sisters making every thing you order with love! Sat in an alleyway eating Banh Xeo for the first time and they were so kind to help us wrap and show me how it’s done. ADD THIS TO YOUR LIST 😋
If you are near Bùi Vien and are looking for the best Bánh Xeo and a legit stall experience this is the spot. Price are very good, very friendly staff I will go back many time.
As a banh mi snob and a Google Review skeptic, I gotta say.. genuinely one of the top 2 best banh mi I’ve had north to south in Vietnam, and therefore, the world. The mixed banh mi with pork floss, BBQ pork, cold cuts, maybe even chicken or anchovies (listed as an individual banh mi protein option), had perfected ratio of salty, fatty, bright and fresh, creamy mayo, rich pate, well above average bread with that fabled flaky outside and pillowy inside. My first time trying banh xeo so I can’t compare to others but the portion was amazing as was the taste mixed with shrimp and roast pork, and everything was cheap. Two banh mi, a giant banh xeo platter with tons of fresh herbs and delicious vinegar garlic chili sauce, and two ca phe sua da’s for I think less than $5 USD total. A feast for two people. In a charming catacomb alley system with nice families and interesting architecture, and a very laid back food stall. Owner is incredibly sweet and welcoming, clearly passionate about the food she makes and very homey and down to earth. At the same time, there’s a certain feeling of confidence–that she knows she’s got something special, in this truly hidden gem. And she is right. There’s also a bunch of slow cooked meats and soups as well as whole fresh herbs and veggies that a constant stream of locals kept coming by to pick up to-go. Clearly a beloved community staple that I was honored to have the opportunity to experience so genuinely. Seriously, I know it’s hard to figure out which reviews are true or if the person writing knows what they’re talking about. I know it can be scary to take a chance on street food when there’s a million options and it’s overwhelming to figure out which is truly worthwhile or an authentic experience. If you’re looking for a sign, trust me, this is it. You will not regret visiting here. I will be dreaming of this meal forever.
