We went to Gong Cafe because it was recommended on TikTok, and honestly, this place is so underrated. The matcha was really good, and the coconut coffee was surprisingly one of the best we’ve tried. We also ordered one of their combo meals just to see if the food was worth it, and everything tasted amazing, especially the sausage. As Filipinos, this definitely matched our taste buds perfectly. What we loved most was how peaceful the place was not crowded at all, very relaxing, and super worth the money. We only spent around ₱400 for everything. Definitely a hidden gem in Sa Pa.
We ordered the coconut coffee and the matcha with black sesame seeds I thought the coconut coffee is overhyped but no. There is the balance between sweet, creamy, coconut flavor, the slight bitterness from the coffee, and the toasted flavor from the toasted coconut (5/5) would recommend The matcha with black sesame seeds, this is an acquired taste. If you’re into the deep matcha flavor, this is not for you since matcha flavor is quite weak since it is also mixed with the thick cream infused with ground sesame seeds. When mixed, the drink is creamy. overall, its a 3.5/5 for me since im not used to the sesame taste on matcha, i tried for the experience
This place has a chill, laid-back vibe, plus an amazing view of the busy city that makes it even better. The drinks were all really good, especially the coffee. The pizza was a nice surprise too. It’s a great spot to just hang out, catch up with friends, share stories, or even just sit back and breathe for a bit. Definitely a place you’d want to stay in for a while.
We had our first egg coffee here, and surprisingly, it was really good. The thick foam tasted a bit like egg tart, which was quite unique. It paired perfectly with crackers. We had a great time enjoying our hot drinks while watching the city as it got darker, with a light drizzle that made the atmosphere even more special. I’d recommend sitting outside on the balcony to enjoy the view, though the indoor seating is beautiful as well.
Creamy, nutty and slightly sweet with a bold coffee kick! Coconut Coffee (Iced) - refreshing, creamy - almost like a dessert drink
