3.8 round to 4. Inexpensive, good sized servings. The Bún bò Huế (Ð35k) was beefy tasting with slices of meat, meat balls and a pork hock (no meat, just for broth making), bún hen (Ð20k noodles with a spoonful of tiny mussels, shredded salad & spicy sauce was so excellent that I had 2!) which came with a light broth which was very fishy/seafood-y. The Banh bot loc (Ð50k) was steamed and stuffed with 6 pieces of banana leaf tapioca flour wrapped dried shrimp (?). Give the 4 pieces of banana leaf wrapped banh nam (Ð50k) a miss - very thin and very lightly stuffed with orangey egg yolk with no discernible meat. Jan 2026
So glad we tried this place! It was quite clean and spacious, and each dish offered was generously portioned and delicious. This was the best Bun Bo Hue I’ve had in Hue, and it had so much variety of meat falling off the bone for only $60k. Banh beo was soft and flavourful , sprinkled with crunchy fried garlic on top, just how I liked it. Will miss this place when I leave Hue.
By the time I arrived at 5pm for dinner, they only had Nam and Cha left for 40k. It was good. I asked for blanched vegetables and they brought out a big bowl of veggies blanched in the actual broth. That was awesome and the first place I’ve been to that did this. I will definitely return but will stop by for lunch with more topping options.
I had bun Bo Hue and a lemon juice. Came to 90k. Not sure if that's a normal price or a tourist tax? Definitely expensive for what it is. On the food end, soup was delicious! Lots of lemongrass, plenty of meat, huge chunk of blood, flavor on flavor on flavor. The depth of the broth is addictive!
Good Bun Bo Hue, served quickly on clean and comfortable tables. The bowl was decent size, though we were missing the pigs blood, and the price was quite high, at 60,00 dong for a bowl of Bun Bo Hue.
