I absolutely loved visiting Hue Walking Street. The area was a series of streets closed off to the usual traffic. In place, market stalls were set up along side the regular restaurants and souvenir shops. I was very lucky as I didn't realise it was only open on the weekend. I found the atmosphere to be very exciting and vibrant. Unlike some other walking streets I visited, this had a wholesome, family friendly appeal but also catered to wider audiences with bars and drinking venues. There was a lot to eat and drink amongst the streets and it was all relatively inexpensive. Souvenirs were also great value too. I would highly recommend coming to visit.
When you are looking for food and fun. Check out Hue walking street on a Saturday or Sunday night. Streets are closed on these nights from 6pm. It becomes alive with loud music and people. Lots of restaurants, shops, massages, mini marts, pharmacy and more. Kids playing soccer (football) and badminton in the streets were a highlight. So much fun and energy.
Hue Walking Street is such a fun and lively place to visit. The atmosphere is super vibrant, especially in the evening. There are many bars and restaurants on higher floors where you can enjoy drinks or food while overlooking the walking street below, and all at very reasonable prices. You’ll find everything here: street performances, hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, pharmacies, pool table bars… it really has it all. The energy continues late into the night (or early morning!), making it a great place to hang out, explore, and soak up the local vibe. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Hue!
We happened to be there because of a restaurant we wanted to dine in. Was pleasantly surprised that the whole area was closed to vehicles. It was indeed interesting as there are lots of eateries and pubs with seats outside. The weather in February is cool so dining and drinking outdoors is very pleasant. Love the atmosphere.
Perfect for a sunset evening walk on the river. It creates such a buzz in the air as everyone gathers exercise or watch the sunset. Real Hue highlight! Would be great if more cities in Vietnam had this.
