Chillva Market
Why worth it
- A trendy, industrial-chic night market in Phuket Town built from converted shipping containers
- Popular with younger locals for street food, craft drinks, and live music in a hip, relaxed setting
- A different vibe from Phuket's traditional markets — more hangout spot than pure food stop

Visited Chillva Market during my stay in Phuket and really enjoyed the experience. The market gets busy in the evening and has a great vibe with lots of food stalls, clothing shops, and local vendors. Prices were quite affordable, especially for food and shopping. I tried food from several stalls, including BBQ, seafood, desserts, and even crocodile meat, which was something different to try! There was a huge variety of food options, and everything looked clean and well-prepared. The whole market was well-maintained and easy to walk around. The food hygiene is exemplary. It's a great place to spend an evening, whether you want to try local street food, do some shopping, or just enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Phuket
Chillva Market has that lively night-market feel with plenty to browse, from food stalls to clothing, souvenirs, and bags. It’s a fun spot to wander around if you’re in Phuket and want a casual evening out. I noticed it draws a lot of visitors, but that just adds to the atmosphere and makes it feel energetic without being too formal.
Chillva Night Market is a great place to spend an evening, especially if you want to enjoy Thai street food. There are plenty of food stalls serving a wide variety of local snacks and meals at reasonable prices. You'll also find affordable clothing for men and women, along with accessories, handbags, bracelets, phone cases, trendy printed T shirts, and other small souvenirs. It can get quite crowded, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on your phone and other belongings while exploring the market.
Was too excited that I forgot to take some pictures. Generally we love this market and we went twice for little shopping and foods. ✅ They have 2 areas with live music band, offers free parking lots and wheelchair accessible! ✅ Food choices is a lot and many were delicious! ✅ Goods sold here are on the low price side as compared to some other places we went. ✅ Love the vibe here with live music and just the right size to have a stroll. ✅ There are a few stalls where you will see some seniors selling items, do support them as their items are good quality yet with low price. ✅ Wheelchair accessible is a plus point. We have senior with wheelchair and the space just nice for us to walk around. ✅ Public toilet available. Overall a nice market!
Smallish night market. Although many articles mentioned container shops & bars, they are only a small part. Most of the stalls are in tents & tables in the open. Estimated half of the stalls here are food stalls. Read about the spicy pork rib soup here which was one of our reasons for coming here. The soup comes in 5 sizes, from small to XXL. The spice level can be specified. The soup is sour as well which is refreshing together with lots of garnishing. Order the rice vermicelli that really goes well with the soup. The ribs were really bones with some meat that is best eaten with hands. The restaurant provides disposable gloves on request that we noticed at the end of our meal. The pork ribs soup is really good and should not be missed. Many of the street food stalls sell BBQ skewers and Japanese snacks. Only two unique stalls are the fried insect stall and grilled crocodile skewers. The table stalls section is open air that is cooling & not humid compared to the confined hot humid air at Lard Yai Night Market. Another advantage is the clean toilet here.
