Came to O Cha Rot Beef Ball Noodle (โอชารส ลูกชิ้นเนื้อ) for lunch and found it to be a very local, no-frills place with a simple and straightforward setup. The food here leans toward a Chinese-style beef soup, with a clear and comforting broth rather than something heavily seasoned. The overall flavour was familiar and easy to enjoy, especially if you like traditional beef noodle or beef soup dishes. What stood out most was the value for money. Prices were economical, making it a good option for a quick and satisfying local lunch without spending much. The atmosphere felt very local, with the kind of casual dining environment where people come in, eat, and move on. Nothing fancy, but it serves its purpose well. If you’re nearby and looking for an affordable bowl of Chinese-style beef soup in a local setting, this is a decent place to stop for lunch.
It is a wonderful experience to taste this authentic food in the Old Phuket Town region. You must arrive early because they close at 15hs and they sell everything. I wanted to have the famous Beef Soup but I arrived after 12hs so it had already finished. But I loved the noodles soup with meatballs I had. You should definitely know this place!
I’ve only been here a couple of times, but their broth is superb. The portions are just right - you won’t leave feeling hungry, but you won’t feel stuffed either. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need anything fancy because the food speaks for itself. 🫶🏼
Went because its in michelin guide. It was ok, food was decent & very good value. But i have had better beef broth elsewhere. The broth here was quite tasteless. We were very rushed out, the owner came over to get us to pay the instant we had finished eating. My wife hadnt finished her juice yet. He brought other people over to our table before we had even stood up. I understand the place works on turnover, but it was a bit ridiculous to be honest. I wouldn't go back
Very plain broth. Perhaps you have to add the chili sauce so can add flavour, but I do not taste the beef flavour in the broth. The beef ball and meat is ok, but ordinary. serving size is small (typical Thai standard small portion). The ambient is very classic and native, but really hot (no strong fan). Price is very affordable, 90 bath with noodles, beef ball, beef meat and one sour plum drink.
