This is a very big night market (Tha Phae Walking Street) that operates every Sunday evening, from 5.00pm till around 11.00pm. It starts at the Tha Phae Gate up to Wat Phra Singh in the heart of the Old City of Chiang Mai. It spills into the side streets and temple compounds as well. It offers various types of Thai street foods, snacks, drinks, local handicrafts and open-air massages. It is bustling with activities and gaiety. There is another similar night market on Saturday nights (Wua Lai Walking Street). It is worth visiting Chiang Mai on Saturdays and Sundays just to experience these night markets.

The biggest and most popular market in Chiang Mai and a must for food lovers with the diverse range of foods on offer. Plenty of arts and crafts, clothing and all sorts of knick knacks available also. It is very easy to while away two or three hours with the volume of stall holders. A must visit when in Chiang Mai.

The Chiang Mai Sunday Walking Street is simply fantastic! The vibrant atmosphere, endless rows of colorful stalls, incredible street food smells, and live music everywhere create pure magic. Friendly locals, unique handmade crafts, and the relaxed yet lively vibe make it an unforgettable experience. I left feeling energized, full, and already planning my next visit!

The Sunday evening Market is a must do if your are in Chang Mai (on a Sunday). Although focus is of course on tourists and there will be plenty it is still a very nice experience to walk around and have a bite to eat at one of the many food stalls that offer good value for money. For shopping you can better go to the Waroros market.

This is a great market! All kinds of goods and food. Not over priced for the most part. Parking is virtually nonexistent so plan accordingly. The days it is open seem to vary so please check in advance. Google maps seems to be accurate in regards to when it is open.
