Laab Kai Meuang Phan Waen

Glad I stumbled upon this place by accident. The food was excellent and offers something different from your typical Northern Thai fare on the street. Price is affordable and taste amazing. Be prepared for some spice in the dishes. It’s best to come early, as many of their popular items tend to sell out by around 5–6 PM.

I ate here twice during our 4-days stay in Chaing Mai. Worth giving a try for authentic Thai cuisine for such a cheap price (Most dishes on menu cost only around 40-75). I recommend Jin Som Mok Khai and their Crab Paste.

Authentic Thai experience of Chiang Mai food. It’s like as it was 40 years ago in Thailand. It’s not fancy so please adjust your expectation. The food was great for me because it reminded me of my younger years when life was simple. The larb meung was awesome but so is the fried eggs. I would come back again for sure. Make sure to wear long pants because there are mosquitoes. You can ask them for mosquito repellent spray and that helped a lot. Love the food. Support the local. Cheers.

Delicious home-made food. Next door to our hotel. They were full the first night we went so very popular. There are many mayors layers of spices in the food we had the chicken lab and the beef curry would recommend both the prices were very very cheap, cash only For any tourist, this is highly recommended.

I found this place by chance and it was such a great surprise. The atmosphere feels very authentic and truly Thai. The food was very good and also very affordable. The staff were lovely, very kind and welcoming. Definitely a place I would come back to.💕☺️💫
