This spot is a go-to for those enjoying a night out on Khaosan Road. After a few drinks, many, especially locals, crave something hot and comforting. This place fits the bill perfectly, as they offer delicious porridge with a variety of toppings. The taste is amazing (though people could not remember the taste well after a few drinks lol) In addition to porridge, they serve suki, a popular local dish served on a hot pan. It’s a flavorful mix of vegetables, glass noodles, and tender pork. Highly recommended!
Not sure why everyone seems to love the sukiyaki so much. With much expectations, I'm disappointed at first sight they put the dish on table - the colour and texture seem so much different than the photo I saw here! Is it reflecting a change recently? I'm not really sure. For the taste, I really don't know why it's special in any way. Just vermicelli and vegetables. I can't taste any difference for the sukiyaki version of vermicelli. The portion is not very big either. The only good thing is the three big shrimps but that might not worth the 80 bahts of the dish. After all I didn't enjoy this meal and there are things I really enjoyed for a lower price.
Suki Haeng (stir fried vermicelli with sweet chilli sauce) is surprisingly above average. Choice of meats and seafoods are available. It comes in hot plate. Sweet chilli sauce is very tasty and remarkable. No wonder why many street stalls tried to copy their recipe. If you comes late, you can park along footpath nearby.
One of the best street food I ever had. Their congee was amazing and suki too as well. The price was reasonable and it cost more for more expensive ingredinces. If you visit Khao San road at night, you must try.
Really enjoyed the Suki, both chicken and the shrimp. Crowded when we stopped by. Qued, placed order after looking at menu (with photos) and took our seats. Served piping hot Suki . Bought beer @ 7/11 (next door) to celebrate.
