Thanee Khao Moo Daeng Roasted & Bbq Pork Rice

Thanee Khao Moo Daeng is a fantastic hidden gem if you are looking for an authentic, local dining experience in Bangkok. The menu features a great variety of roasted pork, Chinese noodles, and classic sides. We ordered the rice topped with roasted red pork, crispy pork, Chinese sausage, and a boiled egg, alongside the noodles with roasted red pork, crispy pork, and wontons. We also couldn't resist an extra side of crispy pork with sauce! The noodle dish was decent—perhaps not extraordinary, but still worth trying. The rice dish, however, was excellent and came with generous portions of very flavorful meat. The absolute star of the meal was the crispy pork. While you can find crispy pork all over Bangkok, the perfect crunch and incredible aroma of the pork here truly set it apart, especially when paired with their separate dipping sauce. The atmosphere is very local; we didn't spot any other tourists. It's located slightly off the main tourist path, but easily accessible via taxi or a quick trip to BTS Ari. If you are in the neighborhood, I highly recommend stopping by for a genuinely local Bangkok culinary experience!

There's a cute younger boy taking orders. I got the BBQ pork and crispy pork combo. Just a heads-up: ask for the sauce on the side because it’s pretty sweet. The crispy pork is straight-up god-tier. Taking a bite of that with some scallions is just pure heaven!

Stopped by Thanee Khao Moo Daeng at lunch—very popular with office workers, so it gets crowded, but service is fast. I ordered the special combo pork rice (90 Baht); the roasted and crispy pork were flavorful with rich sauce. Good portion, cash only. Great quick meal.

I finally made it to Ari to try their legendary BBQ and Crispy Pork. Since it was a Sunday, the atmosphere was chill and not too crowded, making the meal even more enjoyable. ​The Crispy Pork here is truly on another level—it has a unique crunch that is incredibly hard to find anywhere else in Thailand. The BBQ pork was also delicious and well-marinated. Overall, a fantastic experience. If you're a fan of roasted meats, this place is a must-visit!

Ordered the roasted red pork on rice, with crispy pork for 70THB. It came with a sauce on, a little salad and boiled egg. Everything on the plate was delicious- it tasted so much better than my photo!! The shop opens at 8AM. People were already sitting and eating at 8-15 on a Sunday. A huge amount of takeaway orders were ready to go This restaurant has a deserved reputation for one of the best value meals in Bangkok, for the quality received. On the main road, walk south from Ari Station, pass the Pearl Building and it’s on your right.
