I recently tried the khao soi and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavourful, perfectly complementing the tender noodles. The blend of spices was well-balanced and made for a comforting bowl of noodles. The service at the restaurant was okay, nothing exceptional but sufficient for a casual dining experience. Overall, I would rate my experience 5 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a lovely bowl of khao soi, this spot is worth a visit, though the service could be a bit more attentive.

So this is the real deal. Yes it was on Netflix and depending on what time of day you come you may be sitting with a lot of other tourists but the food speaks for itself. Melt in the mouth beef (although there are chicken options too), crispy noodles and am extremely well balanced broth. Creamy but not too much, spicy but not blow your mouth off. It’s served with some slightly fermented greens, onion and lime - which all add to the flavour. 15 people waiting in the queue, a tv show having you on and who cares ?? The owners keep bashing out the small me o of great dishes they have been doing for the last 40 years. The hunanise chicken looked amazing too. Go, queue, eat.

This was recommended by a local as the best Khao Soi around, apparently Michelin rated it too. Managed to scan the menu but the App was unusable- the menu items wouldn't load. Ordered at the till , went for the beef Khao Soi. The broth was delicious, the best I've had. The beef was poor, left one large piece that was so tough I couldn't cut it with the fork and spoon - you'd have needed a steak knife. The price at 70.THB is fantastic, I'd have happily paid a little more for better quality meat. Bottle of water was 10.THB. The restaurant had fans it was cool enough at 11AM with no queue yet but definitely was getting busy as I was leaving.

Arrived around 935AM, it just opened but already full of people. But there were still empty tables. Order the LARGE beef khao soi - more beef and noodles and it was very much worth it. just added 30 baht. The broth was savory, the beef was tender and the noodles were food - fried and fresh. Ordering was fast though as a non-Thai speaker, I just press and press LOL bit it went well. The ordering system is more for the techie but really convenient. Worth coming back to even if I order the same large beef khao soi over and over again.

Khao Soi Lung Prakit Kad Kom is definitely worth trying if you want a flavourful and value-for-money khao soi experience in Chiang Mai. I was surprised to see that it is Michelin-recommended, but after tasting it, I can understand why. The broth was rich, aromatic, and full of flavour, while the noodles and toppings made the bowl very satisfying. That said, do manage your expectations on the dining environment. This is still very much a roadside stall-style setting — hot, simple, and you may see flies around. If you are not open to that kind of local dining experience, this may not be for you. For me, the taste and price make it worthwhile. Come for the food, not the comfort.
