Really enjoyed Khao Soi spot! It’s a branch from Chiang Mai itself so was really excited to try it and it was awesome. We started with the dumplings and tofu appetizers, which were both tasty. The dry khao soi noodles in particular was the highlight. Rich, well-balanced, and packed with flavor without feeling too heavy. The noodles had great texture and the spice level was just right. For dessert, I enjoyed the Hokkaido milk soft serve on the way out. Service was quick and loved the casual atmosphere. Overall, a great place if you’re in the area and craving Northern Thai flavors with well-executed extras on the side. Highly recommend!
Update: went on second time and this time I tried their fried rice and dumplings. Both taste great. Also highly recommended. Highly recommend this place. The khao soi is flavourful, with a well-balanced blend of spice and coconut milk. It’s a bit pricey, but that’s understandable given the high-quality cut of beef, tender and perfectly cooked. The side dishes are refillable, and I would definitely recommend adding extra crunchy noodles and pickled vegetables for even more texture and flavour.
🏠 KHAO-SO-i Convent Silom 📍 Chalanttip Building, Soi Convent, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500 🚗 Free parking at Chalanttip Building in Soi Convent for 2 hours 🍜 Premium Japanese-style fresh noodle Khao Soi restaurant with a rich flavor profile, creative fusion options, and a variety of beverages. The ambience inside the restaurant was quite bustling and exceptionally crowded, especially during the special promotional period, though the seating and service remained organized. Regarding the food, the signature Khao Soi and fresh noodle dishes deliver good taste as expected with a various menu selection. However, the promotional fried rice crab was not that good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stir-Fried Khao Soi with Chicken (Khao Soi Pad Haeng Kai Soi) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh Noodle Khao Soi with Chicken and Braised Pork (Khao Soi Sen Sod Kai Soi & Moo Toon) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fried Soi Tofu (Tao Hoo Soi Thod) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh Noodle Khao Soi with Flat Iron Beef (Khao Soi Sen Sod Neua Bai Phai) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh Watermelon Juice (Nam Taeng Mo Sod) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Iced Lime Red Soda (Daeng Manao Soda Yen) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Iron Skillet Fried Rice with Crab (Khao Pad Kata Hlek Kot Poo) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sour Pork Fried Rice (Khao Pad Naem)
I visited Khao So I Silom and found their Khao Soi to be a modern twist on the traditional Northern Thai dish rather than a fully authentic version. While it may differ from the classic style, the flavor is still excellent and very enjoyable. The quality of the ingredients really stands out. Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully presented, which makes the dish feel premium. The overall dining experience reflects strong attention to detail and quality. The only slight downside is the price, which is a bit on the higher side compared to typical Khao Soi places. However, the quality and creativity somewhat justify the cost. Overall, it’s a great spot for those who want to try a refined and modern interpretation of Khao Soi in the Silom area.
Very delicious and flavorful khao soi. I recommend both the normal khao soi and the stir fry one, with their signature (normal) spiciness if you can handle spicy food. The price is more expensive compared to other khao soi I usually see, but this is something I only eat once in awhile so it is still worth it. I haven't eaten many khao soi in different places, but I once tried it in a food court, and even though it was fine and much cheaper, compared to this one, the flavor wasn't there. This one has very bold flavor, with hint of spices, but not overwhelming. The broth is thick and savory. I had the beef one, the meat was tender and delicious. If you like khao soi or have never had it before, you should give this place a try
