If you love fish ball noodles, this is the place to go in Chiang Mai. Located near Warorot Market, the shop is cramped and busy, but your order arrives quickly and tastes delicious. The dry egg noodles are excellent—flavorful, springy, and with just the right amount of bite. Topped with an assortment of fish balls, fish cakes, and your preferred condiments, the dish is really satisfying. The portion is generous for the price, making it well worth a visit.
If you are a noodle lover, Thana Ocha Noodle is absolutely a place worth visiting! Guaranteed with many years of Michelin guide. What stands out right away is the taste and quality of the food. The noodles are cooked well and many kinds for selection. The broth is rich and flavorful. Every bowl feels balanced, whether you go for the tomyum noodle soup, or yen-ta-four or the dry version. Their toppings are always fresh – many kinds of fish balls make a combination of tender, soft, crunchy, and perfectly seasonal that bring everything together, sour, sweet, salty, and spicy. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. It feels like great value for money, especially compared to many other noodle shops. You leave full and satisfied, without feeling heavy. The staff are friendly, polite, and smile. The atmosphere is an old noodle shop but quite clean, casual, and comfortable. It’s the kind of place that works well for a quick weekday lunch meal. Overall, Thana Ocha Noodle combines great taste, affordable prices, and nice service. It’s one of those places you want to come back to regularly because you know the quality will always be there. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic and delicious noodles in an old style.
The soup and noodles are very delicious!! The bowl size is quite large and fun. Very much value for money ❤️ I am not giving a very high rating is because all of the meat is processed meat. Meat balls, fish balls, stuffed tofu are all processed, nonetheless, delicious!! I especially loved the crispy fried pork bits. Logan juice is the best which I’ve had in Chiang Mai. Not too sweet
Thana Ocha Noodle is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai noodles. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the noodles have the perfect texture. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, and every bite feels comforting and satisfying. Friendly staff and a casual, local atmosphere make it a great place to enjoy a classic Thai meal. Highly recommended!
Very busy Michelin guide listed noodle restaurant. The food is excellent, especially the Yong Tau Foo noodles, love the sauce, sweet, slippery and tangy and the stuffed wantons are nicely balanced in fishy savory flavour. The pork and rice is very good too. My only little comment is I've always had very dismissive service, not a smile, it just seems you are an inconvenience. That being said, the food is great, as is the value for money.
