Where does this rating even come from? We came here because of the high reviews, but this was by far the worst food we’ve had during our 4 weeks in Thailand so far. We ordered Khao Soi, Panang curry, fried curry paste and fried rice. Honestly, none of the dishes had taste. The Khao Soi and Panang had almost no flavour at all. They were bland, watery and basically tasteless. We specifically asked for spicy, but they were not spicy whatsoever. It also felt like they were saving on coconut milk, because the Khao soi and Panang curry were extremely watery. The red curry was very dry and, again, almost completely lacking in flavour. The portion was also very very very small. And to make it even worse, this was also the most expensive restaurant we’ve eaten at so far. Absolutely not worth the price. The only thing we can imagine explaining the high rating is the restaurant itself. The place is actually really nice, and the staff were reasonably friendly. But when it comes to the food, we honestly have nothing positive to say. After 4 weeks of travelling around Thailand and eating at countless Thai restaurants, this is definitely not a place we would recommend.
After many rounds of research and reading reviews in search of authentic Thai cuisine, I couldn’t be happier with our decision to celebrate Father’s Day here. We practically ordered our way through the “menu” (or rather, the wall! 😄). Fun fact: there isn’t a traditional menu, every dish is displayed in framed photos around the restaurant, making it both charming and dangerously tempting. We didn’t even manage to photograph everything because the dishes arrived looking so irresistible and appetising that we immediately dug in. Every plate was packed with flavour, and without a doubt, this was some of the best Thai food we’ve had in Samui. The restaurant has limited seating, but service is efficient and tables turn over quickly, so getting seated wasn’t difficult at all. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Thai food in Samui, this place is an absolute gem. Highly recommended and well worth the visit. 🔥🇹🇭❤️
This is the best restaurant I’ve ever gone to in my life. I’m actually in shock. EVERYTHING is AMAZING!! Like wow. This is what we ordered and devoured it in under a minute because it is that good. Never tasted anything like this food before in the best way possible.
There is levels to this umami crafted in their beef Khao Soi. A must try when in the hood. The atmosphere adds to the experience. Avoid going to the touristy spots and come here if you can. An unforgettable experience. Thank you Ran Khang Non.
This place is absolutely amazing! Thai food done perfectly, with fresh, delicious ingredients, such a cozy atmosphere, lots of well-cared-for cats, and a wonderful owner and staff. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to 🤎
