AMAZING! There is a reason this place has so many 5 star reviews. The food is incredible every single time and the staff are the sweetest and most helpful people. We love the charm of the little shop and other customers are always up for a chat. We ate here 4 times over the course of our stay in Samui and wish we would have gone more often. The prices are great and the quality is even better. A must try if you’re in the area.

This place feels truly authentic — simple, cozy, and wonderfully family-run in the best possible way. Not fancy or pretentious, just honest, delicious food served with kindness and warmth. The atmosphere is so welcoming, the staff are incredibly sweet, and the prices are very budget-friendly. A perfect little local spot if you want something genuine and comforting ❤️

If you're visiting Ko Samui and seeking food that nourishes the soul, make your way to Thai Mama. She embodies the auntie figure, or as they say in Thai, คุณป้า Khuṇ p̂ā, that you long to see after a tiring journey or a day spent on the beach. If you yearn for the comfort of home-cooked meals, prepared with care and affection, this is a place you absolutely must experience. This isn’t your typical beach restaurant. Nothing fancy, just good traditional Thai food.

This was our favorite authentic Thai food spot. Truly delicious!!! Aroi maak. The main chef cooks with her heart and soul and has never disappointed or underdelivered. Her food I as bright as her welcoming smile! Even though the place is right next to the road we enjoyed every moment. Special recs: laab with pork, papaya salad extra spicy and the soup with pork and glass noodles. Honestly every dish we had was fabulous. If in doubt go here ( especially after the disappointing Michelin star restaurant down the road….imo they should’ve awarded Thai Mama all the stars )

Friendly and polite service from this small family run restaurant. Lovely food at local prices. On the roadside so plenty of traffic noise but that’s normal setting. The dish is vegetable stir fry with pork. Partner waiting for omelette and decent sized spring rolls.
