My dad has been coming here for 30+ years and he always brings me here for daddy daughter dates so this place holds a very special place in my heart. Objectively speaking, the pho broth is incredibly clean yet flavorful. I’m not quenching for thirst after I eat here so I don’t think they add as much msg. The sweetness of the broth really comes from all the beef bones and different cuts of beef. Noodles are fresh and delicious, typical for Vietnam but I live in the states so it’s impressive for me. The beef is a bit on the tougher side but that’s just Vietnamese beef. They’re not getting massages or listening to jazz music. Overall I’d choose this over some fancy wagyu pho. Even the hoisin sauce is delicious.
I came all the way to District 5 to check out this famous Pho spot. I ordered the mixed beef Pho, and the broth was definitely the highlight—it was incredibly clear, sweet, and flavorful. However, I found the beef to be a bit overcooked for my personal preference. Next time, I would definitely go for the rare beef (Pho Tai) version to get that tender texture. While the food was good overall, I traveled here from District 1, and to be honest, I probably wouldn’t make the long trip specifically just to eat here again. But if you are already in the area, it is certainly a solid choice for a bowl of authentic Pho. Great taste, but maybe not worth a special cross-district journey if you're staying far away.
The pho here was honestly amazing 🍲✨ The broth was rich, flavorful, and tasted so fresh. Portions were very generous with a lot of meat, and everything was served perfectly. We randomly found this place while walking around District 5 and were really impressed. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and definitely a spot we’ll come back to again 🤍
Don’t expect street food prices here but portion is set more as well. Short walk from our hotel in District 5. They knew we were tourists so advised us to go upstairs for the air conditioning. Yes, the beef is chopped up which I think makes Kaju Tofu more tender. Son ordered just the beef and we had the dac biet (combo with everything) Food was good only slight was the workers looked miserable. But I guess you really don’t go out to eat in Vietnam for the smiles.
Pho le was in a bunch of recommended lists, so we opted to try it as well. Verdict: it was mid, not as flavorful as i thought, nothing stood out. It wasnt bad, very big portions and good pricing. Might opt for pho somewhere else next time. Lots of seating, multiple floors. Cash only btw.
