One of the oldest if not the oldest Banh Mi place is Saigon. It instantly became my go to place for banh mi opla. The staff is super kind, the service is fast and the food is delicious. I cant stand sensitive tourists who dare to give one star to this place really, if you cannot handle real authentic street food DO NOT TRAVEL and stick to mcdonalds

Great spot for bánh mì chảo. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but you’re paying for a well-known brand. The food is tasty and the service is friendly. Seating is limited, but sitting in the small alley actually adds to the experience - a nice way to enjoy breakfast and soak in the Saigon vibe.

Second time here. The food was good, but I remember my first visit four years ago being a lot better. I think it’s a little overrated now. Definitely come early if you want to experience a more local-style breakfast.

This banh mi shop opened up in 1958, and I think it’s the first banh mi shop to be established (?) And it’s still around and popular even today, having been run by 3 generations of the same family. As everyone would say, there isn’t anything special or memorable about this place at all, but of course, it tastes decent, as it’s quite difficult to mess up on this simple dish. I just came here because it’s near my house and I don’t know what else to get that day, plus I was in a rush to get back home to pack up. It’s quite a peaceful location that runs along an alley. Not a bad choice for breakfast/brunch. The dish is sunny side up eggs with assorted meats in a very characteristically Vietnamese skillet. Bánh mì ốp la đủ thứ 58.000 VND (2 sunny side up eggs with assorted pork meats) Cà phê sữa đá 12.000 VND (Iced coffee) I also purchased a side of pâté and butter, not very fragrant though, but okay, decent.

Great place to stop in for breakfast. Even with an extremely busy atmosphere, service was quick and staff were friendly - even one of the women in the kitchen stopped over and added sauce to the meal for additional flavor. I walked in, was seated and food delivered within 5 mins. I would definitely recommend this place.
