There are many seafood restaurants along this street, but this is one of the places I would recommend the most. The shop has been in Saigon for a long time and is famous for its snails and seafood dishes. Since it’s always crowded, the seafood is consistently fresh and restocked throughout the day, so you can eat with confidence. The place is always lively, attracting both locals and tourists. Every dish tastes great because the seafood is fresh, but if I had to recommend one, it would be the Coconut Stir-Fried Mud Creeper (Ốc Len Xào Dừa). The snails are small but rich and flavorful, and the coconut sauce is incredibly fragrant — definitely a must-try!
The food was mediocre at best, the service was through a child that forgot our requests and had to send it back a few times, our simple drinks didnt come out until the 3rd dish, and at the time it was almost finished. The atmosphere was kind of dirty, we didnt know where to put the shells, no bowls or anything provided, we were told to just throw it on the ground, making it very unsanitary. Now lets get into the details, the food is very mediocre but EXPENSIVE. we ordered a total of 4 dishes and 1 orange juice, 1 sugar cane drink, and it came out to 600k VND. The price is definitely touristy, and its definitely family-run. So service is very limited to what they know. The atmosphere is as youd expect, not the best at being clean. However the restroom is outrageous. The woman's restroom is dirty and has a hole where people can just peep through, the mens restroom is tiny, and is shared, right next, and on top of the urinals, no privacy, and u can smell it as you wash your hands. The parking for both scooters and cars are suspicious, at first we were told the parking was free, then the guy asked for some change, but we didnt carry cash, and we got attitude for it. Overall, id go somewhere else, for a better experience, and youd save quite a bit of money, to eat more food, somewhere else. For example: we ate at hokkaido sachi for two, a total of about 7 quality dishes including wagyu A5, and quite a bit of cheesy oysters, and it was only 1.2mil VND. at a well known, higher end restaurant. You do the comparison.
I found this place from TikTok video recommending local seafood in Ho Chi Minh City, so I decided to try it. The food was really delicious and totally worth the price. At first, you might think it’s expensive, but once you see the real shrimp and snails, they’re big, fresh, and taste amazing. The staff were also friendly and welcoming.
Not bad but overrated. Grilled seafood with nuts and onion was tasty. The souse for snails with corn was not really good. Seafood rice was 1 out of 10 (worst rice I have ever had).
Worst meal by far, after seven weeks in Vietnam. First time I have left food. Squid was very chewy, the prawns overcooked and the noodles congealled. Half the staff, shouted for custom and smoked. At least our server was pleasant. Not an experience to repeat.
