Bánh Mì Hồng Hoa

My fave banh mi spot in Saigon in district 1 area! I came here 2 times and Grab ordered 2 times to my hotel. Far more choices than the famous Banh Mi Huynh Hoa (there’s only 1 option). I really recommend to try the “crispy pork”, “grilled pork” or “xiu mai (pork meatball)”. The “dac biet (special)” was also good but I only recommend this one if you like liver paté. They have 2 sizes but the small option (about 45k vnd) was good for me. It is richly filled! Try it with the “sinh to mang cau (soursop smoothie)” it tastes like a pear sorbet drink! The peach tea was also really nice but ask them to put less sugar in it because it was too sweet.

I really enjoyed my banh mi at Hong Hoa and think it is one of the better ones I have eaten. It really was delicious! The bread is made fresh in smaller batches, in store at regular intervals throughout the day ensure it is always warm and crusty. The sandwiches were generously filled with good quality ingredients. I ordered the roast pork banh mi. The meat was very succulent and pulled away nicely from the bread when eating. Service was very friendly and efficient. Many locals and tourists were constantly lining up to buy the bread and understandably so!

It was our first time in Vietnam and we just landed. This was our first meal and It didn't disappoint. It raised our expectations on Banh Mi. The serving was really generous. The amount of meat, liver spread and veggies was really great. The taste made me fall in love with Banh Mi. Love the service here as uncle was really nice!

I had the Bánh Mì Thap Cam, and it was excellent. The bread was fresh and soft inside with a crunchy crust. This, along with a Rau Ma, it made for a great dinner. Service was awesome, very friendly. Highly recommend it if you are on the area.

Basic size is 47k vnd, 57k for the large size. 5k for iced tea. Friendly fast service. Bbq pork came in balls which I wasn’t expecting, but they were juicy. No pate and sparse filings. The special has a selection of meat with super tasty pate. Overall, enjoyable meal. Nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about :-)
