Con Market
Opening Hours
Why worth it
- A large wet market spanning two connected buildings, shaped almost like a stadium from outside
- Steps from major tourist attractions, but still feels authentically local rather than staged for visitors
- Good for fresh produce and seafood, plus a look at everyday Da Nang life
- Can feel chaotic and a little rough around the edges — part of its authentic charm

The avocado ice cream (kem bơ) here is slightly more expensive than the ones at Bắc Mỹ Market—about 5k more per serving—but it's still tasty and satisfying. The old lady who runs the place is quite cheerful and friendly, which adds a warm and welcoming vibe to the whole experience. Overall, it's a pretty solid spot. Even though I went during lunchtime, the place was surprisingly packed and crowded—clearly a popular choice among locals. If you're in the area and craving some avocado ice cream, this place is definitely worth a stop, just be prepared for a bit of a wait!
Absolute shopping heaven for those who's looking for many kinds of nuts and local snacks, however you should bargain for the price here. It was so hot when we went there as there was no electricity, so one way to cool us down was to get the famous avocado smoothie in the food section of Con Market. Please look for the guy in the 5th photo as his stall is located at the middle of the food section which is super friendly and sell great avocado smoothie. Also must try their Avocado + Durian smoothie for those who like durian as it was recommended by him and i came back for another cup!
The Con Market is a really great place to experience the local life….. it’s got everything ranging from snacks, ingredients, spices, household goods and I was there to specifically look for Banh Tran Da Nem for making Vietnamese Crab Roll which I love and would like to replicate that in Hong Kong…. I was also able to find some Great home style bamboo slippers there as well!!
Very busy local market selling pretty much all sorts of everything. A different vibe to the touristy Han Market and may not be for everyone. Great food court area that sells a wide range of food and drink at great prices. If you want a feel for where the locals go for fresh everyday produce then check it out. It's well worth a look.
Local market with lots of retail goods but I was mainly here for the culinary experience. The food here is so affordable and is delicious. There were lots of locals eating inside and dishes varied anywhere from 30K to 60K. Massive portion and very high quality. This place literally had anything you need for your stay in Da Nang, I got beach towels and fanny packs at really good pricing as well.
