As a Da Nang local who has been away for many years, coming back and enjoying a bowl of Bún Chả Cá like this felt incredibly nostalgic. 🍜 The broth was light yet flavorful, the fish cakes were fresh, springy, and packed with taste, and the vegetables added a wonderful balance to every bite. What I love most is that this place stays true to the authentic local style without trying to be overly modern or touristy. If you’re visiting Da Nang and want to experience one of Vietnam’s best noodle dishes, this is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss. A simple meal, rich in local character, and full of the flavors that make Da Nang cuisine so memorable. ❤️ Recommended dish: Bún Chả Cá Đà Nẵng.
Amazing broth but only when you add the lime, picked onions & spicy minced garlic (and a bit of the fermented shrimp paste)!!! Not a big onion/garlic person so ate majority of my bowl without it and thought it was just ok, like an oden / yong tau foo soup given that it’s slightly sweet with lots of fishcakes, but when I added it, that’s when the broth really became very tasty! Fishcakes have a nice bite, not spongy & soft. Goes well with the chilli sauce! Not quite a fan of the bun rieu, so would recommend just the normal one.
delicious, and premium 'street food' noodle soup versions with fish cake, crab balls, crab paste, mackerele, tuna -> see photo menu (feb 2026) below* the soup (broth) has a mild, but distinct taste; among others a touch of pineapple. grab or ask for a bottle of home made aloe vera (or other home made) drink from the fridge next to the aquarium. michelin listed restaurant 2024/2025 🏆. definitely among the best soups i ever had in vietnam for up to 2.5 usd is # 5 on the menu🥇* in case you like to taste the real authentic deal consider adding the brown fermented fish sauce in plastic bottles available on tables. i personally do prefer to add: fresh lime juice, a whiff of chilly-garlic paste, onions marinated in vinegar, herbs/salad, and a touch of regular fish sauce 😋 * not sure if they do a special edition around lunar new years -> they lowered prices subsequently. maybe a touch less fruity when i made it back in march but still top of the pops
Among the michelin- selected place I have visited in Da Nang, this is the least that I can recommend. The found the bun cha ca is bland even though I already added some fish sauce and pepper. Their service is good though. I'd still recommend you visit the place and try the food.
12/30/25. Danang's Michelin Recommended fish and crab paste/balls noodle soup. Made an out of the way trip to this eatery for their Michelin dish. To those planning to try it out too... manage your expectation since this is a local no frills eatery. Ordered the fish and crab paste/balls noodle. It was a heaping bowl of fish cakes with one piece of crab ball. The crab Fat was not visible nor palpable. The clear soup had mild sweet flavour owing to the pineapple in the broth. Initially I found the broth to be too subtle in taste but with the addition of fish sauce, chilis and herbs, the bowl became flavorful. They have to two Michelin recommendations for 2024 and 2025 but the food is still affordable. Still wish that more crab is visible and palpable.
