BATTEN YOKATO AMERIKAMURA

It’s our last day in Japan, and we decided to have skewers on our last night! Honestly wish we discovered this earlier!! The dishes I’d recommend are: - Tofu with cheese (must get!!!) - deep fried corn - chicken skin - chicken thigh - homemade meatball - Eringi mushroom Basically everything at this point…. The chef grills them in front of you, and staff are super friendly! The price is also reasonable!! When looking at reviews, I saw a few complains about having to order drinks pp at this restaurant, however it is actually really common at most Japanese restaurants! We also went early like 4:30PM for an early dinner hence there’s no line at all! We will 100% come back to this next time when we are back! Thank you for a delicious meal!! ❤️

Great meal for a reasonable cost. We spent around ¥4800. Plenty of skewers options to try. Lots of meat to select, and various vegetable options if you are vegetarian. The staff were very welcoming from the moment we walked in. Would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for something in a great area.

We stumbled upon this little yakitori spot by chance while walking down the street, and it turned out to be an absolute gem. The moment we walked in, we were welcomed by incredibly friendly staff and a warm, happy atmosphere. Every skewer we tried was packed with flavor—perfectly grilled, juicy, and clearly made with care. The food was simple but exceptional, the kind that makes you stop talking just to enjoy every bite. It’s the kind of cozy, inviting place that feels like a local secret. So glad we discovered it. Highly recommended!

Very disappointing experience. The staff clearly favoured local customers while making others wait outside. Some guests were let in immediately under the excuse of “reservations,” even though they had just arrived. Service was cold and inattentive, while locals received smiles and quick attention. Food was average and overpriced, made worse by the poor attitude. A restaurant should treat all guests equally not show such obvious bias.

Came here due a friend's recommendation and boy were we in for a treat! The food was cooked perfectly and flavored so well. The pacing of each portion coming out after each order was also good to allow steady eating and drinking. Definitely recommend and we'll be back next time we're in Osaka.
