I was curious about melon bread because of Dorami, Doraemon’s little sister! Seeing how much she loves it made me want to try it for myself. So I finally got the chance and honestly, it was so good. In the cold weather, having a warm melon bread with a light sweetness just feels next level. It’s simple, but really satisfying. I can easily see this becoming one of my favorite snacks. Oishii desu!

I saw this place recommended by PiQtour on YouTube and it looked so amazing that we had to try it when we visited Dotonbori! I got the melon pan with matcha ice cream and was delicious! The melon pan was perfectly warm with the cold ice cream, I could eat this every day!

After missing out the Melon Bread on my first trip to Dotonbori due to the long queues, I wasn't going to make the same mistake again. For ¥600, we got the delicious Green Tea Ice Cream Melon Bread. The bread was fluffy on the inside yet flaky on the outside. The green tea ice cream was creamy and has the perfect slightly bitter matcha aftertaste. Definitely a great sweet option in Dotonbori!

First time in Japan and this was on my must try list! Did not disappoint! The melon pan was hot and fresh and the ice cream portion was huge! Will visit again and recommend to my friends!

It is good- don’t get me wrong, and the service was very prompt and kind, but both my partner and I just had unfortunately such high expectations heading into this viral melon pan place that I feel like it would be hard to live up to. Having had the other famous melon pan in Asakusa, I personally feel like the bread here is not as crispy on the outside as it could’ve been to achieve that crunch satisfying texture I love and expect from melon pan. The Sakura flavor we got was also quite interesting and we don’t know if it went well with the bun itself. One big highlight though is genuinely how generous the ice cream portion was, I was in awe when I saw them reaching down to the ice cream can for another scoop 😂😂 Overhyped? A bit. Delicious? Yes. If the line was how it was when we went (
