The barista was well knowledgeable about their products and coffee. He showed us and walked us through their entire list and carefully explained each one for us to decide which one to go with. Had a really great experience here with my family and it was the perfect time for great coffee since it was a rainy day. Definitely a must try is their El Diviso (Ombligon) in Latte. We also tried their pour overs and you can definitely taste the flavor profiles of each.

This cafe takes the specialty coffee experience to an art form within a sleek, soaring atrium setting. The iced drip featuring the Colombia Campo Hermoso (Sudan Rume / Enigma Black Honey) is extraordinary. Served in an elegant matte-black ceramic cup, it drinks more like a fine aromatic tea than a traditional brew. Vibrant notes of pink grapefruit and spicy-sweet ginger hit first, followed by an intriguing herbal basil nuance and a clean, silky finish. Paired with their house banana bread, served on a branded wooden board, the balance is spot-on. It has a moist, dense crumb packed with roasted walnuts that add an earthy crunch, perfectly grounding the bright, complex acidity of the pour-over😍

Glitch Osaka is what I call “my sweet spot in the universe.” This is always where I go to first whenever I am in Osaka. The pour-over selection is always extensive and exciting. The flat white is bar none the best. The service is usually top-notch. Unfortunately, on my last visit (July 29), I was not happy with the service from the female barista on duty. I arrived with my wife. She ordered 1 coffee and 1 bottle of beans. We wanted to order separately but the female employee seems to not understand or accept that we wanted to order separately. She even told me “it’s one order per person,” to which I replied “Yes I am aware.” I felt she doubted I will order something. She was not very nice when she talked to us but she was very warm when she talked to the Caucasian couple ahead of us. A tinge of discrimination perhaps? And the coffee (Milan NG) she served me was not hot at all. It was lukewarm. When I told her about it she said it’s because it’s a hot day so she brewed it using a lower temp. When I said “yes but this is lukewarm” she said it’s because she did not serve it to me immediately. The coffee waited at the counter while she brewed my wife’s coffee. Well, that sucks. What a waste of beans and money. Anyway, when I bought 4 more bottles of beans and another cup of coffee, she became friendlier to me 🤷🏼 Anyway, I will not let one encounter stop me from going back to Glitch. But I expect better coffee and friendlier service from her next time.

I think this is likely the best cafe experience I’ve had. The service was friendly. The baristas were professionals. Their skills and their knowledge were top tier. You can tell they really loved and are dedicated to their craft. They took their time with introducing their beans if you really wanted to learn. The service wasn’t rushed, and by the time the coffee arrived, it was the perfect temperature for consumption. I don’t think I need to express how delicious each cup tasted. The atmosphere was amazing. It was like walking into a different world. Everything slowed down and you really can’t help but to relax and take your time. For a space under a set of escalators, that is impressive.

Loved our experience here! As coffee lovers, the light-roasted bean selection is well curated. Our hostess helped us select a roast that we both enjoyed the notes of (nutty, fruity). The audio set up and leather seating was such a lovely touch. Definitely a spot for an audiophile and coffee lover!
