Tsuruhashi Fugetsu Honten

Walked in as a party of 4 for dinner on a weekday and was able to be seated right away upstairs. They have booths for about 4 people comfortably (could maybe squeeze another if needed). They have seating upstairs and downstairs. We ordered the SET MENU special for 4 and upgraded to the large noodles and it was plenty of food :) The staff will cook the okonomiyaki for you but the rest (noodles and egg pancake) you should get to it right away. Food was delicious but by the end, the sauce and mayo was too heavy on the okonomiyaki. They will turn on and off the grill for you and slip the check on the side of the burner controls (we had to look for ours and didn’t know!) Lastly — be prepared to smell like food all over your clothes even though it is a well ventilated restaurant.

No English speaking staff, soso attitude (when ordering she kinda shouted to us.. seems like impatient but it was not busy at all), the food (fugetsu yaki) is overrated, the barbecue (assorted seafood and pork) is self service. No flavor so you need to add salt / seaweed by yourself. MVP is 350¥ cola… 能看懂中文的看图

Very authentic Okonomiyaki in an iconic restaurant.

Amazing okonomiaki restaurant & an iconic one in the area. I would rate it top3 in Osaka, taking into account the price & quality. The staff is friendly, they speak basic English, but they have translated menu - so you will easily get around. The dishes with seafood & pork are excellent (photos & video below)! Prices are around 8-1000¥ (relevant part of the menu below). Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. A++

Best Okonomiyaki ever. The staff who cooked the okonomiyaki was such a lovely young man and very professional. We had to wait for 15min as we went 7pm its busiest time. But it was worth waiting and 100% recommend!!!
