Delicious, straightforward tonkotsu ramen. Despite it being fast food, this bowl was one of the tastier bowls of ramen in my Japan trip. Ordering is very easy. Pay at the vending machine and then give your ticket to the person cooking behind the counter. The soup was rich, flavorful and savory without being too salty. Also the kimchi they provide is absolutely delicious and addicting over rice. A satisfying meal for under 1000 yen! The only thing is that the tables inside are on raised platforms with tatami mats, so you either have to take off your shoes and kneel or awkwardly sit sideways while eating your bowl (like what the locals did).

Ramen experience that stands out from more traditional Tonkotsu offerings, particularly for those open to alternative styles. Rather than adhering to the typical Tonkotsu profile, the ramen here draws notable similarities to Korean Gukbap (rice soup). The broth is smooth and well-balanced, with a restrained pork presence that avoids excessive heaviness or strong meaty notes. The noodles are cooked slightly on the softer side, which complements the dish well—especially when paired with the complimentary rice provided. A highlight of the experience is the ability to customize the flavor: adding garlic, kimchi, and chives transforms the broth into a heartier, Korean-style soup with increased depth and richness. Guests are also offered unlimited refills of rice, kimchi, chives, and garlic, enhancing both value and personalization. As the restaurant operates on a fully self-service model, diners are expected to clean the tables and return their bowls after finishing their meal. Having visited 3 times, the last visit was unfortunately not up to par, with the broth noticeably weaker (likely due to the noodle not being dried) and the flavour bland...

Kinryu Ramen Namba Sennichimae may look old-fashioned and a bit worn compared to newer ramen shops, but that is actually part of its charm. Everything is self-service, from ordering to picking up your food, so do not expect luxury service or a modern atmosphere. However, the ramen itself is surprisingly delicious. The soup is light, refreshing, and not overly greasy, making it easy to enjoy even late at night. The flavor is unique and memorable, especially considering the very affordable price. There is usually a line, but the waiting time is still reasonable and moves quite quickly. Another huge advantage is that the restaurant is open 24 hours a day, which is incredibly convenient for travelers and night owls in Osaka. Personally, I think Kinryu Ramen is more worth trying than many famous tourist ramen shops that are far more expensive and overrated. Simple, tasty, convenient, and great value for money.

Great pork ramen and good price. Opt for the extra pork ramen to get more great meat. Seating only on tatami mats which is charming but difficult for a westerner like me with poor hip flexibility. Ordering is from a machine which is Japanese only but they saw my struggle and came to help.

Came early as 1st customer. Bone broth is superb. Always nice to have nice hot soup in the morning. Free flow for condiments for kimchi, garlic and chives. Good portion of noodle and even just the Y800 portion has few slices of CharSiew. Noodle texture is just nice for my liking. Bouncy and chewy. Like the vibes of old Japanese ramen shop.
