Heaven on earth. This was my first time trying taiyaki — the classic Japanese fish‑shaped cake usually filled with sweet red bean paste. This shop offered three fillings: red bean, premium custard, and sweet potato, plus a limited‑time seasonal option with a matcha cream filling. I chose the matcha one, and WOW. The warm matcha cream melted in your mouth, and the cake itself was light and comforting. I could easily have eaten two. I visited around 20:30 and there was a short line, but it moved quickly. Staff were friendly and pleasant throughout. Highly recommend.
I was heading to Dotonbori when I suddenly came across this snack shop. It immediately caught my attention, and the price was quite reasonable. It was also open and conveniently located near Dotonbori. I was very gold the taiyaki was freshly made and hot and the bread was good. The filling was generous and flavorful, making it a really satisfying snack. I Order the red bean It turned out to be a great little find during my walk, and definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.
A classic Japanese dessert and street food favorite, these taiyaki come in multiple flavors including traditional red bean and rich premium custard. The outside is crisp and golden, while the inside stays warm, soft, and flavorful. The red bean filling is smooth and lightly sweet, and a must-have Japanese experience. A delicious and comforting treat that’s perfect for a quick snack or dessert while exploring Japan!
My friends and I stumbled upon this Taiyaki shop during the day when we were walking around Dotonbori. We didn’t get it right away but decided to come back post dinner as a little snack. We went back at around 10:00 PM and it was definitely still busy. Despite having a long line, the service was very quick. It helps that their menu is simple, so we decided quickly. My friends and I mainly got the red bean and custard taiyaki. I got the red bean and absolutely loved it! Be careful on the first few bites because it will be hot!
Nice tayaki stall with custard, anko and sweet potato filling options. It may take a while to get yours do to lines or preparation time, but for me it was only around 10 minutes. The filling was nice and the dough was soft, but I expected it to be thicker. @gigicomidinhas
