Lovely authentic udon restaurant! Enjoyed the chikuwa cold udon on a hot sunny day. Generous serving. It gets packed with locals during lunch time, you can easily tell that it’s a popular spot! The owner was very kind too. Hope to be back next time!
Amazing udon shop, and warmth hospitality! I was staying at the Airbnb near by and was looking for hot noodle soup with meat( as according to my 2 years old daughter’s direction). In a cold chilling night I passed by the restaurant and was warmly welcome by the chef(can I say that?)and the hostess. They were both very friendly to us. The lady assisted me with the ordering and I have to say my daughter really love the udon soup. She finished the whole bowl( yes they have kid’s tableware which is very helpful) the fried beef udon noodle indeed is strong taste, and it was a great match with the udon soup. I will always remember the lady’s smile and hospitality! If I stay in the neighborhood again I will surely visit here again. Recommended to those with toddler and udon lover! The udon soup is simple but really tasty!
A true authentic local japanese spot, we were the only tourist in the whole restaurant. It was extremely challenging to order. The vending machine was all in japanese so do be prepared to take a longer time to dispense your food receipt. Udon was made of buckwheat and tasted more earthy, texture is chewy and nice! I am a basic prawn tempura udon, tempura is average. Also tried the curry udon, the curry is totally not like the commercial japanese curry (sweet like coco ichibanya etc type), it was spicy. Talking/chatting is prohibited so the restaurant is like a library. Just purely dining. Interesting experience.
Best udon in the Fukushima area!! The noodles are handmade with whole grains and has the best flavor and texture. On top of this great quality, the quantity is good, and the price is amazing! The tempura is also cheap and delicious! You can get full for quite a bit under ¥500. Definitely worth putting on your list of places you frequent.
Love their whole wheat udon!!! Adding the Yam is a must! Highly recommended the egg tempura~ It is difficult to order food from the vending machine, but the staff is helpful. The food is great and the service is fast paced and no need to queue, the customs come and go very quickly.
