I had a great experience at Banh Canh Cua 87. The noodles were delicious with the perfect texture, but the highlight for me was definitely the soup — it was so flavorful and comforting. The youtiao (油条) was also amazing, especially when dipped into the soup. The combination was simply perfect! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Since we didn’t know Vietnamese, the staff kindly helped by ordering for us automatically, which made the whole experience much easier and more enjoyable. Great food, great service, and a very warm atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try authentic Vietnamese noodle soup! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very nice bánh canh. My friend brought me here, and I enjoyed it. The soup was rich, comforting, and full of flavour. They also have chilli on the table, but I would not recommend adding too much as it is quite spicy. Even a small amount can easily overpower the flavour of the original broth.
Easily the best proper meal I had in Vietnam, good enough to return two days in a row. However, the staff have a charming habit of placing youtiao and wet wipes on your table without mentioning they cost extra. You only find out at checkout. A small amount, but a deliberate one. Feels like a trick reserved specifically for non-local Asian visitors. Seating is tight and sharing a table with strangers is likely if you are dining solo. Go for the soup, just watch what lands on your table.
Coffee shop atmosphere and low table seating. Not suitable for kids or those with disabilities. But the food was really yummy. Broth was full of umami, thick flavourful. Generous with ingredients with fresh prawn, pork slice, crab meat and seafood ball. Really satisfying bowl for only 60 000 VND
When there’s only one thing on the menu - you know it’s great. Comes with youtiao - which is great to dip in the broth - they have lime and extra spicy chili on the side if you’re feeling spicy The place in general is very warm. But that’s just Vietnam for you. If you have to queue, be prepared to roast outdoors for abit. Recommend you to bring cash.
