Classic Chiang Mai spot! Authentic but accessible local food, great for guests. Fair prices. Park by the school or opposite lot. Best time: 8:30-11AM. Must try: Kanom Jeen Nam Ngeaw! A family favorite. Lovely staff (please be patient). Will return!

If you want a more local experience but still a proper place, this restaurant would be a good choice. But be ready that it might not be adjusted to the appearance and taste of tourists like some other restaurants. For example, I was a bit surprised when in my chicken red curry, in addition to chicken there was a good amount of liver too. Tasty, but not what I expected 😅 The interior is very beautifully decorated and has lots of tables in different sections that you can choose from. Important: it's cash only and not-vegetarian-friendly.

Our first meal in Chiang Mai! This place was recommended by our airport taxi driver, so we went straight there. Since it was our very first meal, I didn’t really know what to expect, but we were honestly really satisfied. The nam ngiao rice noodle was my favourite! They also have an air conditioned room although the room wasn't as aesthetic as the other dining area of the restaurant.

This is an authentic Chiang Mai Khao Soi restaurant. The Khao Soi is delicious and meets the standard of Northern Thai cuisine. You can request less spicy versions of some dishes. The food is served quickly; you don't have to wait long. I've eaten here at lunchtime before, and this time I tried it for dinner. It's a shame they didn't have Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao or Khao Kan Jin.

My worst experience in Chiang Mai. Not only was everything tasteless, it was also stale. The salads had stale eggs, the papaya wasn't crispy, and the eggplant had already turned brown. The interior is very beautiful; you can stop in for a beer and admire the view. I wouldn't recommend eating there. Even the rice sticks were barely warm and not good at all.
