Craving Thai classic mango sticky rice or more in Thonglor? Mae Varee is a well-known dessert stop right at the start of Thonglor, famous for its mango products—and they really deliver. Sweet, ripe mangoes paired with fragrant sticky rice and rich coconut cream make their mango sticky rice a classic for a reason. What I really love here, though, are the pandan layered cakes. Soft, fragrant, and beautifully made, they come in a pack of six, perfect to share or take home. The durian ice cream is also worth trying—creamy, aromatic, and surprisingly not too overpowering when frozen 😄 Always busy and full of tempting options, Mae Varee is an easy must-stop if you’re around Thonglor and in the mood for proper Thai desserts.
The mango was incredibly sweet and juicy, perfectly paired with soft, chewy sticky rice. The coconut sauce was rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet, making every bite taste balanced and satisfying. Can’t wait to eat this mango sticky rice again soon! 😋
Mae Varee Sukhumvit is a famous dessert shop known for its delicious mango sticky rice and Thai sweets. It is a must-visit place for dessert lovers in Sukhumvit. Their mango sticky rice is one of the best, with fresh, sweet mango and soft sticky rice topped with rich coconut milk. The taste is perfectly balanced and very satisfying. They also serve coconut & mango ice cream, which is creamy, refreshing, and full of natural flavor. Their pandan cakes and other Thai desserts are also very tasty and unique. One fun and interesting feature is that they provide dry ice for takeaway ice cream, which helps keep it cold and also creates a nice visual effect. It can be fun to see, but should be handled carefully. The shop is usually busy because of its popularity, but service is quick and organized. Items are nicely packed, making it suitable for takeaway or gifting. Overall, Mae Varee is a top dessert spot in Bangkok. Highly recommended for its mango sticky rice, unique desserts, and quality taste.
This stall is located a short distance from BTS Thong Lor made it easily accessible and has become a popular must eat mango 🥭 sticky rice in Bangkok. I agreed that it has its unique selling point, boosting 3 color sticky rice with a warm small bag of coconut milk and crispy rice to sprinkle on the rice and mango. The mango is of good quality without fibre though I would have preferred it to be more ripe (I should have asked for it). Overall it is still good and worth to try if you are around this area.
I got the recommendation from Tiktok, and I was satisfied! I've tried others mango sticky rice and this one is good also. I cant say it have a huge difference in taste, but definitely worth the trip. The mango I had was so sweet and soft, you can cut it without much effort with a plastic spoon. I guess I'm in luck because I bet not all the mango taste the same. I also had their dried mango snack, but not as good. The person holding the register was super nice! And according to them the mango sticky rice can survive only for 4 hours without a fridge, so put that in mind if you want to bring that home. Also they dont have a sitting area so only takeaway.
