Tried the Iberian Smoked BBQ Pork Jowl Pad Thai, very flavorful and smoky, with good quality pork. Personally, I’m not a huge noodle/Pad Thai texture fan, so that may have affected my experience. I’ve had better Pad Thais before, but this was still enjoyable overall. Honestly, I think I would’ve liked the flavors even more if it came with rice instead of noodles.
We def had delicious Pad Thai with meat here 😋 the chicken was super tender and the pork jowl was fantastic! They are absolutely banging on bbq meat! It is a bit pricier side, but it is totally worth trying at least once, or honestly maybe even more. Plus, they accept credit cards.
In my opinion- not worth it! Unfortunately, the portions were extremely small. Despite ordering a full meal, we actually left the restaurant feeling hungry, which is very disappointing considering the prices. On top of that, there is a mandatory 7% service fee. You can easily find the same dishes from street vendors for a fraction of the price, often with larger portions and just as much flavor...
Added the photos only as proof that we actually went. Found the place via the Michelin Guide website, which had praised the place back in 2022. The ingredients were fresh but the taste was very dissatisfying. The crackling pork pad thai was bland and needed heat; the pork jowl pad thai was overly sweet; and the farm raised prawn pad thai was undercooked. All the noodles were lumped together, so don't let the reasonably nice-looking photos deceive you. The portions are those of appetizers but the prices are twice as high as in other restaurants. Unsurprisingly, you couldn't see a single Thai customer here.
Been to another branch before and the portion was way better. This one was a straight up letdown. 200 to 500 THB for Pad Thai and the portion was tiny. Honestly felt like I got robbed. At that price, I expected a proper meal, not a sample size. Service didn’t help either. Asked for a spoon, got a fork. Then they handed me chopsticks. Like who actually eats Pad Thai with chopsticks and a fork for real? Taste was decent but nothing close to justifying the price or portion. If you're charging premium prices, at least don’t serve budget portions. Definitely not coming back to this branch.
