The amounts of dishes not much and a bit expensive than other restaurants but The taste was great. I'm not kidding the grilled pork neck was just coming on the table. That was real amount. When they serve grilled pork neck before they check the weight by scale. Actually I had visited this area for visiting another restaurant on early lunch time but I ordered three dishes even though I took simple brunch. After make orders had to wait for a long time over 20 Min on the table. The staffs were not welcome to customers and friendly maybe because they were so busy. Anyway, I was satisfied.
A small Som Tum and Northeastern Thai restaurant. Too few table and very crowded. The foods were delicious eapecially deep fried chicken. But the service was terrible. All staffs were very unwelcome, rude and trend to ignore for your asking. The order had no queue, depend on the feeling of staffs, you may take the first order but get one of them after another customer. The delivery seem to be more important than dine in customer. The price was reasonable. Cash only. Reservation wasn't accepted.
Somtum is a big let down. The green papaya is bitter. The only good thing is grilled pork (if you like sweet fatty pork) the other menu are very disappointing
One of my favorite somtum place in Bangkok. This local place has local taste. The menu is simple so it's easy to make a decision. Please note there could be a wait here so be prepare for it. Alternative option is to use grab as the restaurant is listed on grab. The papaya salad is very crispy and tasty. I suggest to get the esaan somtum with fermented fish, larb moo, and fried chicken!
We went during lunch hour. Mostly locals. Food was great! The grilled pork was very tender, fried chicken was still warm. However the som tum needs to be spicier. Perhaps they reduced the heat since we weren't local.
