Yook Samai was an absolute treat and easily our favorite Khao Soi spot in Chiang Mai. After spending the last three weeks sampling Khao Soi all over the city, this was the one we kept talking about afterward. We visited during off-peak hours and were seated right away. We tried several different varieties of Khao Soi, and every single one was outstanding. We also took advantage of their complimentary second serving of noodles and broth (without additional meat), which was a fantastic touch. You definitely won’t leave hungry! The staff were welcoming and attentive, and we loved the open-air kitchen where you can watch the cooks prepare each dish fresh. It adds a fun and authentic element to the experience. As an added bonus, the surrounding art market is wonderful to explore, with plenty of interesting shops, artwork, and things to see. Yook Samai was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Thailand. Highly recommended!
Even though the wait for a table was around 45 mins, it was soooo worth the wait!! The Khao Soi here is incredibly tasty! Portion sizes are also decent. Beautifully presented. Bht150 for chicken, Bht180 for pork. Service at reception and Host are well organised, though a little confusing if you don’t speak Thai. First collect a number to wait in the que, before you can place order and pay. Once you pay, you then find a table, sit and wait for your meal. Takes around another 15min before you get your meal. Overall took around 1 hour to receive our meal. Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. Atmosphere is lively and buzzing. Get a refreshing passion fruit juice from the stand immediately next to here.
This cafe is located in Baan Kang Wat. Always very crowded with tourist. There is a good queue system where you take queue number and when your number is called, then you place order and get a table. Service is excellent and vibes is great. Food is 10/10. Recommend the Chicken Khao Soi and Thai Milk Tea here. Just the place needs some clean up with alot of mosquitoes and flies due to the location within alot of trees and plants which could be quite irritating. Otherwise, recommend to try having the Khao Soi. Do bring your own electric personal fan.
By far, The BEST khao ski we have had. SO worth visiting. The chicken was so soft & tasty. WE WANT MORE!!!!! 150 baht per chicken khao soi. More expensive than a local market but so worth paying more. We will post full review on our YouTube: Shanandliamtravel Thank you for amazing food
The place is great and the food so yummy ! The only problem is the process to have a table, it’s complicated and badly explained. 1st, if tables are full, you need to wait until announced time. But becareful people will continue to queue, so stay in the line if you want a table. 2nd, after waiting you are assigned a number, you need that number to be called. 3rd, when your number is called, they give you paper, you need to fill it and it give it back to pay. 4th, they will give you a sign with a number on it, you can now seat anywhere you want and they will bring the food to you. 5th, they don’t provide drinks, so don’t forget to buy one before !
