Chiang Mai’s night market is a lively and enjoyable place to spend the evening, with a huge variety of food, souvenirs, clothing, handicrafts, and local products. The atmosphere is energetic without feeling overwhelmingly chaotic, and it is fun simply walking around and discovering the different stalls. There are plenty of affordable street-food options and small snacks to try along the way. Some sections can feel quite touristy and repetitive, but overall it is still a great evening experience and a nice way to see a more vibrant side of Chiang Mai.
What an amazing night market in Chiang Mai! There’s such a vibrant atmosphere, with a wide variety of stalls selling everything from souvenirs and clothing to unique local items. The food stalls are a real highlight, offering a fantastic selection of dishes so you can try a bit of everything. It’s the perfect place to wander, eat, and soak up the local culture. The market is open Monday to Saturday, and the best time to visit is around 7pm when the sun goes down and everything comes to life. Just keep in mind that most vendors are cash only, so come prepared. Definitely a must-visit when in Chiang Mai!
Best Night Market, good food made fresh. Lots of options to choose from and we enjoyed it so much we had to go back! would highly recommend as there is a lot to eat, buy, explore!
This place definitely has something for everyone! I am a vegetarian and I don't like onions, but I found so many tasty things to try, all delicious! The fried tofu and mushrooms was great, Indian samosa, cheese corn, ice cream. My friend had a fish platter and it was great too! Atmosphere is great. Highly recommended!
The Chiang Mai Night Bazaar was one of my favorite places to visit while in Chiang Mai. The entire area comes alive at night with bright lights, music, and endless stalls to explore. I loved just walking through the market, browsing the different vendors, and soaking in the lively atmosphere. There’s such a great variety of things to see and buy — from handmade crafts and souvenirs to jewelry and clothing. Bargaining with the vendors is part of the experience and actually makes shopping more fun. One of my favorite moments was walking around the market with a gelato from Luc Gelato Al Cielo. It was the perfect treat while strolling through the stalls and people-watching. Little moments like that made the whole experience feel even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great place to spend the evening exploring, shopping, and trying different foods. If you’re visiting Chiang Mai, the Night Bazaar is definitely worth checking out!
