Heo nướng lu Ông Phú Đạt
Why worth it
- A Da Nang institution for heo nướng lu — clay-pot roasted pork known for incredibly tender, flavorful meat
- Frequently described by visitors as a must-try, with some calling the silence at the table after the first bite proof enough
- Popular enough that the recipe has expanded to a location in Hanoi as well

Delicious. Ask for more meat for 10k more. You can also buy 100g of pork if you really like it. I went around 12-1pm and barely anybody. There is a drink shop right next to it so grab a quick drink while you wait. Banh mi bread was crunchy and soft and light. Pork was delicious and mayo and veggies kept it refreshing and light. Could’ve eaten two!
You know it's going to be good when you see a long line of people waiting whenever you pass by! Very delicious pork belly banh mi. The bread is crunchy outside, soft and chewy in the middle, and the flavor of the pork belly is bomb! Nice fresh veggies to boot - just be sure to specify if you want it spicy. I asked for a little chili and it was quite spicy! 😋
Looking at the great reviews, I knew I had to drop by. And it was the worth it. First thing first, order at the side and then queue up at the front to pick up. Menu is simple straight forward, only one type banh mi and my advise go for the extra pork with additional 10000vnd. Totally worth it. The pork is definitely out of this world. Crispy fatty pork. If you can’t get enough, you could even get the pork only costing 100k for a 230g portion. Which I did after finishing my banh mi. The bread has the perfect texture, crunchy on the outside. Not too hard. The pork not overwhelmed by the vegetable and sauce. Everything in its perfect portion 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻. Most tend to takeaway but if wanna eat there then by all means take a seat after grabbing your heavenly banh mi. Basically self service. If you are in da nang, make sure you drop by.
This is the best roast pork bánh mì in Da Nang. The shop has around 10 locations across the city, but this one seems to be the original. I’ve been eating here for about three years. It’s become popular with tourists recently, which has led to some price increases — the standard roll is now 25k. I always opt for extra pork and extra pickles. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Da Nang.
I actually love their pork belly banh mi but not the best service. Staff are slow in preparation so it creates a line. They don’t allow you to take photos of the pork cooking in the urn - AS IF it’s not already everywhere on the internet. Anyway I recommend the one on the mainland, near Han Market. So much faster and for some reason tastes better and they don’t make a fuss when you take photos. Go there for a better experience!
