Beef noodle 80 ฿ Pad Thai chickin 60 ฿ Krapao chickin rice 60 ฿ Fried egg 10 ฿ (Sep 2026) Has English and Chinese menu, even Russian! If it wasn’t for this shop, my kata/karon stay would be hard to find cheap eats. So you don’t sit down, but go to counter to order and pay up first. There usually a small queue but can be patiently waited as they cook things to order, so to ensure everything is fresh and yummy. I came 4 times so far, and all around 2-4pm range, and is always quite busy still. But I appreciate the food. They offer free ice and water and bean sprout. The beef noodle is tasty, with really big chunks of beef given, and worth the money. Also it is made within 1 minute after order, so is efficient. Pad Thai I forgot to tell spicy, so they made a “tourist” version without spicy, I find it sweet, and maybe next time I need spicy version to justify. But they cook to order and portion is good for me. Krapao chickin is yummy, coz I remember to tell I want spicy so I get a relatively Thai local style , it is spicy no doubt but they have ice and water too, so I enjoy this meal very much. I think most tourist came due to different social media and fame, and overall I am not disappointed, it is the best cheap eats could find in Kata/Karon and I hope they are more of this for its run of money. Otherwise, thank you for the meals and I will be coming again 🤗
The vibe in this restaurant is absolutely amazing! The open kitchen lets you watch the talented Thai woman at work, and the wide selection of sauces on each table means you can customize every dish exactly to your taste. It genuinely feels like stepping into a warm, welcoming home the moment you sit down. Auntie also showed us how to eat the food properly - how to adjust flavours like Thai people do. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection: the pad Thai, pad kra pao, fried rice, and beef soup were all delicious and full of authentic flavor. Truly an amazing experience — highly recommend! 5/5
The beef soup was soo good, and the price was really affordable too! They also sell sticky rice with banana wrapped in banana leaves, which was something unique i hadn’t tried before. The taste was surprisingly good and definitely worth trying! But what amazed me the most was how soooo nice the staff were! I was a bit confused about which sauce to choose because they had several variants, and maybe she noticed how confused I looked 😂 She came over and kindly explained the taste of each sauce to help me choose. That was honestly so helpful and such a nice touch! No wonder there’s usually a queue when you visit this place. From what i observed, i’d recommend coming before lunchtime to avoid waiting too long hehehe. I definitely will come back again! 🥰
My partner and I stayed in Karon for a week and The Pad Thai Shop became our favorite restaurant. We ate there every day. One day we even stopped in twice. The food was fresh, hot, delicious and quick, and the staff were very friendly. Prices were the best we found in the area. They serve the best pad thai I’ve ever had and the krapaw and crab fried rice were amazing as well! The papaya salad is a must try. The thai tea and watermelon smoothie drinks were also delicious and very refreshing. I’d recommend anyone who goes to Phuket needs to stop in at least once, this place is a hidden gem!
If you’re looking for a simple, authentic local spot — this is it. The place is very casual, open-air, and no-frills, but that’s exactly what makes it special. Feels like a proper local eatery where you just come, sit, and enjoy good food without anything fancy. We ordered the beef noodle soup and Pad Thai. The beef noodle soup was comforting — rich broth, generous portion, and the beef was tender enough with a nice mix of textures. You can really taste that slow-cooked flavor. The Pad Thai was the highlight for me. Nicely balanced — slightly sweet, tangy, and not too oily. The ingredients tasted fresh, and adding a squeeze of lime really brought everything together. Also love the little details — all the condiments on the table so you can adjust to your own taste, very local style. Service is straightforward and efficient. It’s more of a self-service setup, but everything runs smoothly. Prices are very reasonable for the portion you get. Overall, nothing fancy, but very honest and satisfying food. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re around Karon and want a real local Pad Thai experience.
