Kanomjeen Sanpakoi

I recently had the chance to visit Khanom Jeen San Pa Koi, one of the most famous local eateries in Chiang Mai, and it truly lived up to its reputation. This long-established restaurant, located in the Gold Market area, has even been recognized in the Michelin Guide for several consecutive years, which speaks volumes about its quality. The menu offers a wide variety of rich and flavorful curry options served with fresh rice noodles, all at very affordable prices. The atmosphere is simple and local, but that only adds to its authentic charm. Personally, I absolutely loved the Kanom Jeen Nam Ngiao here. The broth was rich, slightly spicy, and full of depth, with generous toppings that made every bite satisfying. It is definitely the highlight of my visit. Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Chiang Mai, especially if you enjoy Northern Thai cuisine. Delicious food, great value, and a truly local experience.

Out of the way but highly rated. Had a Khao Soi which was amazing, and some promo Maggi fried Pork chips for a snack. Plenty of seating, was very quiet mostly locals after work.

The mild yet flavorful taste feels genuinely homemade, perfect for both locals and travelers. Their menu offers a wide variety of dishes so everyone can find something they like. The highlight is the kanom jeen itself – soft, fresh rice noodles served with aromatic Northern curries and sauces that showcase true Northern Thai tradition. A delicious and memorable dining experience!

Fast, friendly, affordable and best of all delicious. Nam Lor and chicken green curry were scrumptious. Not crowded at lunch. Cool on a hot day.

I really love it! The food is super delicious — highly recommended! The prices are unbelievably cheap; I didn’t think you could still find prices like this nowadays. You should definitely come and try it. Support the locals and enjoy the original, authentic flavor. I especially recommend the Khao Soi — it’s absolutely delicious!
