This is the first Khao Soi in Chiang Mai and it didnt disappoint. The place is abit secluded but thanks to Google pin we could take a grab straight here. We're probably early (10am) so there wasn't any crowd. We were greeted and explained how to use the condiments on the table. We ordered a beef and a pork khao soi. I feel the beef fits the broth much better than the pork. The lime and onions adds an extra elevation to our taste buds. The vegetable with nuts is a good contrast add on to the bowl of already good noodles. We loved our first khao soi. We saw it at night markets but this one looks alot better. The environment is a little old with flies but if you're into rustic native vibe, you'll love it.
The best Khao Soi In Chiangmai you would ever find. The OG Traditional Northern Cuisine of Thailand Authentic Classic and Savory- Mouthwatering lunch. Soft chewy noodle, chicken breast option , Umami soup with slight coconut Kati blend, then with a final fine touch of Crispy Egg noodle. Served with limes, shallots, preserved veggies, it made the taste 10 times better.
When we first walked into this little restaurant, we were surprised at how off the beaten track it was. It turned out to be a real gem. We have never experienced a delicious bowl of broth with the local style of khao soi in our entire lives. When we walked in, we could smell the smell of the broth being rendered down back in the kitchen. There is no substitute for amazing broth of the dishes at this restaurant. Highly recommended. A little hard to find, but don’t give up.
Found out about this Khao Soi place thanks to Mark Wiens. It's off the beaten path and situated quite far away from the city centre in a non-descript neighbourhood but definitely worth the trip. I actually really like the ambience of the place - it may be uncomfortable for some (being in the backyard of what seems to be a private dwelling without air-conditioning) but it adds to the rustic and authentic charm of the place. The Khao Soi was extremely tasty and the lady who served me was really nice and friendly. She could immediately tell that it was my first time trying Khao Soi and taught me what to add to the bowl; the resulting mix was a hearty delicious bowl of noodles in a thick beefy broth with a similar consistency to goulash. Washed it down with some refreshing homemade organic honey coffee. A more unique variant of the typical khao soi dish and definitely a must-try!
Hidden gem of original Kao Soi. Flavor and aroma is unique, not too sweet as in other restaurants. The pork ribs version is a must-try.
