If you are a gyoza lover, you absolutely must try this place. I ordered the Yaki-Gyoza and the Toritama Gohan, and the combination was incredible. The plate of gyoza arrives with a flawless, golden-brown sear that is perfectly crisp on the bottom while remaining soft and tender on top. Each bite delivers a juicy, well-seasoned pork filling that strikes the perfect balance between savory and light, making it entirely too easy to eat a dozen of them without a second thought. As my personal tip, if you can eat garlic, you should definitely order the ones with garlic. Pairing these dumplings with their Toritama Gohan (Chicken and Egg Rice) is a total game-changer. This dish features a bed of warm rice topped with savory minced chicken and a beautifully delicate onsen tamago right in the center. Breaking open the yolk and mixing it into the chicken and rice creates a rich, creamy texture that perfectly complements the crispy, savory gyoza and the comforting side soup😍

Gyoza no Fukuho is a simple, no-fuss spot that delivers exactly what it promises, cheap, straightforward, and satisfying gyoza. The dumplings are well-made with a nice balance of crispness and juiciness, and the flavours are comforting without being overly complicated. It’s the kind of place where the food arrives quickly, hits the spot, and leaves you feeling satisfied without any frills. For the price, it’s definitely worth it, especially if you’re looking for an easy and reliable meal. Nothing fancy, but that’s exactly its charm, simple food done well. I would happily come back again.

The gyoza at Gyoza no Fukuho really stood out for me — the contrast between the soft top and crisp bottom was excellent, and the filling stayed juicy. I also liked having warm sake with the meal; it fit the whole experience nicely. There was a long wait, but once I finally got in, it felt completely worth it.

A nice and simple place to enjoy good gyoza in Shinjuku 3-chome. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the prices are very reasonable for the area. The staff are polite and attentive, which makes the dining experience pleasant. Overall, a great spot for a casual meal when you’re around Shinjuku. I would gladly visit again.

Food 2/5. Service 1/5 Atmosphere 3/5 A Gyoza shop failed in their main and iconic dish. Take a look at the photo, the filling is very starchy with very minimum pork or meat. And it’s lumped up together like a ball. Many ramen shop made better taste gyoza than this. Saw the high rating on google, and since it’s just opp my hotel, so I give it a try around 9pm which there are still 3 group before me on the waiting list. Just 3 group of 2 paxs before me I waited nearly 30min in the cold outside the restaurant while I can see in the restaurant it’s empty with many seats available. And the table is cleared and set ready just only don’t understand why the staff not keen to bring us in and rather letting us wait in the cold outside. When I got my seats, I was very hungry already. Had planned to ordered their set (fried, boiled and deep fried) 18 pcs. But because of how the staff respond so I start to doubts this restaurant standard. And only order a plate of 6 pcs fried Gyoza. And my instinct was right, the food taste does not tally with the rating. But maybe because of the price 385Yen for 6 pcs of gyoza. And my meal for this dinner was only 385Yen cheaper than a ramen. Very affordable food, but not worth the wait.
