Some of the best sweets I have ever tried in Kyoto! I didn't know about this charming hidden spot at all, but a local Japanese friend brought me and my boyfriend here to discover truly authentic Kyoto confections and traditional green tea. It turned out to be an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. I especially fell in love with the light matcha sponge cake, the creamy artisan gelato, and the soft, fresh handmade mochi—every single bite was fresh, balanced, and delicious. Their tea selection was truly special, offering an impressive variety ranging from delicate, lighter brews to rich, bold, and stronger flavors that perfectly complemented the sweet desserts. The shop itself is spotless, beautifully designed, and very easy to reach, situated right near the most famous central streets of Kyoto on the first floor of the building. The entire staff was incredibly polite, attentive, and kind throughout our visit. Luckily, it wasn't crowded when we arrived, so we didn't have to wait in line at all. I truly recommend stopping by here to relax and enjoy a proper cup of tea—just be sure to check their exact opening hours before you go. We had a great time!
We stopped by this matcha dessert restaurant and it completely exceeded our expectations. Every single item we ordered was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, just that deep, authentic matcha flavor. You can really taste the quality of the matcha they use. The desserts were beautifully presented and tasted just as good as they looked. The matcha soft serve was creamy and intense, and the layered desserts had the perfect mix of bitterness and sweetness. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, making it a great place to sit down and take a break. The staff were kind and efficient, and everything came out quickly. If you’re a matcha lover, this place is a must-visit. We would absolutely come back again! 🍵💚
37c weather means we need a cold drink and ice cream! The green tea dessert is yummy, but the ice melts extra fast, only 10 sec, … sad, we asked for extra ice but were rejected by the waiter
Compared to its competitor down the street, I prefer the Japanese Tea Tsujiri from Uji. Strong bitter aftertaste. More expensive than it's competitor + can't bring to lv 2 to eat
Had my first matcha in Kyoto in this shop at a late night. It was really good, we had to come back before leaving.
