Tasty sushi at a good price. The quality may not be the best, but considering how much you pay, it's really worth it. The combination of raw fish and egg yolk is fantastic. I think it's worth eating here. We didn't wait to be seated, but by the time we left, there was already a long line.
This place was recommended to me by my bartender at my hotel. It was packed, the line is about 45 mins but well worth the wait. My favorite sushi would be the seared salmon and unagi. They have a large list of options to choose from including whale. This location is extremely affordable as well. The rolls come in 2 pieces so try as much as you can.
We got really lucky to find this gem in Kyoto after a late shopping raid. Although we had to wait a little bit, we got the latest reservation available at 21h, and it worth every single minute. The sushi was exquisite, the environment was welcoming and the staff so friendly and availabe to explain and suggest the best sushi... and it was really the best sushi we could have. Fresh and hand made just in front of us creating this experience even more close to the chef. It was definitely better than we could have imagined.
Excellent sushi experience. We sat at the counter and sampled a range of dishes, from sushi and tempura to tartare, and everything was superb. Fresh ingredients, great flavours, and excellent service. The quality-to-price ratio is outstanding. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Expect a long queue, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Sushitetsu delivers on what great nigiri should be: fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and generous portions prepared with care. Once seated, service is efficient and the sushi comes out at a steady pace, making the experience smooth despite the crowd. Every piece tastes clean and well balanced, especially the seasonal selections. If you are in Kyoto and serious about good sushi, this spot truly lives up to its reputation. Come early, be patient, and enjoy the reward.
