Lots of choices at this market from fresh food to street food. The mango and sticky rice and chicken sticks was really good 🙏🏼
A nice market for locals, with plenty of fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, all kinds of seafood, meat, poultry,... Also there's already prepared/cooked meals, snacks and desserts. All on the back and the right hand side you also find clothing. So kind of everything you need for the daily life. The market is roofed, so you don't get wet when it's raining, or burned in the sun.
Great local market with a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and ready-made foods. You can find delicious chicken or pork satay for just 10 THB per piece. There’s also an excellent selection of local fruits, including rambutan (both red and white) at around 50 THB per kilo, rose apples for about 60 THB per kilo, and watermelon for roughly 25 THB per quarter. Most sellers don’t speak English, but they are very friendly and always willing to help, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Tip: Don’t overpay for fruits on the main street in Ao Nang - prices there tend to be higher compared to this market. Highly recommended for an authentic local shopping experience!
This is a small night/weekend market but it is roofed which may be important when the rain comes down. It is set up only for the local Thai people because it has food and a little bit of clothing so not too attractive to a farung (foreigner) unless just shopping for food and fresh fish and veggies. The market does not operate every day but is extremely busy when it does. I rate it 3 stars because it is a normal market and I have shopped there frequently and there is nothing outstanding about it. It is just a good, normal Thai market.
We had some nice food, snacks, it’s always nice come and try something local, fresh made, feel the culture
